Antibacterial Potential of Biosynthesised Silver Nanoparticles from Serratia sp. AQ5-NT39 against Aeromonas hydrophila.

While the public health community is concerned about the notable rise in Aeromonas hydrophila resistance to specific antibiotics, a consistent and rigorous approach is needed to manage this opportunistic pathogen’s global presence in the aquaculture sector. It has been demonstrated that Serratia sp. strain AQ5- NT39 can biosynthesise silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) through extracellular biosynthesis and exhibit antibacterial activity against pathogenic bacteria. This study will investigate in vitro the interaction of biosynthesised AgNPs by Serratia sp. strain AQ5- NT39 against A. hydrophila using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). AgNPs AQ5-NT39 demonstrated by forming inhibition zones in the disk diffusion at 8 mm, which showed strong antibacterial activity against A. hydrophila. Additionally, the MIC and MBC values at 8 ppm determined the inhibitory and bactericidal effects of the AgNPs. These results underscore the importance of exploring novel nanoparticle applications and their potential antimicrobial implications for addressing bacterial infections in aquatic environments.

Predictive Model for Classification of Student Learning Behaviour in E-Learning using English-Malay Code-Mixing Corpus at Institute of Higher Learning

The current predictive model was developed using structured data by selecting irrelevant features due to measurement bias making it challenging for educators to effectively identify learning behaviour of the students. Therefore, this study focused on unstructured data which are code-mixed text that consisted of English and Malay from various E-learning platforms. In this study, An English-Malay code-mixing corpus was developed which associate with the predictive model to reflect the language patterns and communication styles often found among students in the e-learning platforms. To build the model, natural language processing techniques and algorithms was employed. After the preprocessing, the text data was annotated by psychology experts based on the four classification of student learning behaviour. The result of the study includes the development of a robust predictive model that can effectively classify student learning behaviour in e-learning environments.

The Biosynthesis of Silver Nanoparticle by Seratia AQ5-NT39 for Antibacterial Screening towards Streptococcus agalactiae

Aquaculture industry is currently facing many obstacles in meeting the demands and one of the main factors is disease outbreaks in fish farms. Specifically among the majority second most cultivated fish in Malaysia, red hybrid tilapia fish farms due to it prominent causative agent, Streptococcus agalactiae. The overuse of antibiotics to control these infections has led to the emergence of antimicrobial resistance, necessitating the search for alternative treatments. This study explores the potential of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized by the marine bacterium Serratia sp. AQ5-NT39 as an antibacterial agent against S. agalactiae. AgNPs were biosynthesized through the extracellular production by Serratia sp. AQ5-NT39, leveraging the bacterium's natural ability to tolerate heavy metals. The antibacterial properties of these biosynthesized AgNPs were evaluated using in vitro methods, the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion test. The AgNPs exhibited an inhibition zone of 3.67±0.29 mm compared to the positive control with a zone of inhibition 4.97±0.01 mm. This research demonstrates the promising potential of biosynthesized AgNPs from Serratia sp. AQ5-NT39 as a sustainable alternative to antibiotics in the aquaculture industry. Further studies will focus on optimizing the synthesis and application of AgNPs to enhance their antibacterial efficacy and ensure their safety for widespread use.

CSFs Towards Successful ERP Implementation: A Conceptual Model

Effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise resource planning (ERP) execution is depending on the organization implementation. Every company that embarks on ERP execution will definitely hope that the execution will be success and effective. The concept of critical success factors (CSFs) early emerged in 1961. Many studies have been conducted in order to analyze on the most CSFs. Few only intended directly to focus on organizational performance. A conceptual model will be developed to show the relationship between all the selected CSFs towards organizational performance in making sure the successful of ERP implementation in the organization. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) has been done in order to gain the CSFs. CSFs gains will be list and traceability matrix table will be produced in developed the conceptual model. Pilot study has been conducted to proof the conceptual model suggested. A questionnaire was distributed to 30 industry respondents. Results from this questionnaire survey than will demonstrate either the CSFs is really affecting the successful execution of ERP in organizational performance or fail to successfully execute the ERP. This paper proposes specific CSFs that influence directly to ERP execution success towards organizational performance.

The Systematic Literature Review to Investigate Game Design Elements for Development of Game-Based Learning in Jawi Letter Connections

The use of game-based learning as a method to support students in reaching their educational goals is increasing in popularity. This can be attributed to the fact that students are becoming more proficient in technology at an earlier age, and the educational technology sector is producing more impactful products. This paper aims to thoroughly examine the effectiveness of game-based learning elements in teaching students to join Jawi characters by conducting a comprehensive literature study. Through an extensive exploration of academic papers, research studies, and educational materials, substantial evidence will be gathered to either support or refute this idea. Game-based learning has gained popularity for its ability to engage and motivate learners by incorporating gaming elements into educational experiences. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) conducted to explore game elements has shed light on a comprehensive list of 19 distinct game elements, which have been further classified into four main game components.

This thorough analysis brings to the forefront our understanding of the various elements that make up an engaging and immersive game. For game developers, this research provides valuable insights into how these elements can be efficiently utilised to create captivating gameplay experiences.

Kaedah Penternakan Udang Galah (Kajian Kes di sebuah Kolam Penternakan Udang Galah di Negeri Perak)

Menurut Institut Penyelidikan Perikanan Malaysia, masalah utama industri penternakan udang galah tidak berkembang adalah kerana syarikat besar kurang menyertai industri ini. Ini kerana industri penternakan udang galah mempunyai risiko yang tinggi . Kajian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengenalpasti kaedah penternakan udang galah, isu-isu serta teknologi dalam penternakan udang galah.

Kajian ini dimulakan melalui pengenalpastian usahawan kolam ternakan udang galah daripada Pejabat Perikanan Negeri. Kajian dilaksanakan melalui perbincangan meja bulat dengan penternak udang galah dan pemerhatian lawatan tapak.

Berdasarkan kajian, didapati terdapat lapan proses utama penternakan udang galah yang dilaksanakan oleh penternak yang ditemui. Antara isu dan masalah yang dihadapi penternak adalah masalah pengudaraan oksigen, penjagaan kualiti air, ancaman racun dan masalah bakteria. Setakat ini, teknologi yang digunakan lebih kepada teknologi mekanikal untuk memasukkan air kolam dan memasang kincir air.

Penternak udang galah amat berminat sekiranya ada teknologi ICT dan IOT yang berupaya memantau kualiti air dan oksigen bagi mengelakkan udang mati dan menyebabkan kerugian kepada penternak. Selain daripada itu, sistem atau aplikasi yang boleh merekod jumlah dan jenis makanan juga didapati bermantaat untuk penternak menguruskan makanan dan pembahagian makanan mengikut kolam udang galah.

The Role of Records Management Practices in Promoting Good Governance in Malaysia: A Conceptual Framework.

Abstract: Record management is a crucial component that must be carried out to promote good governance practices, as there are numerous criminal issues highlighted in the public sector, such as corruption, fraud, and record falsification. As a result, the public develops negative perceptions and arguments about the public sector’s performance in its capacity as an authority with a mandate from the people to promote morality in national governance and protect the rights of the people. Previous research reveals that accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery are prioritized over other elements. Therefore, this study proposes a conceptual framework for record management that incorporates these key elements of professionalism, accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery in Malaysia’s public sector, which is significant to support the National Archives of Malaysia Strategic Plan 2021-2025 and the National Good Governance Plan (My Government) to empower record management as a key component of achieving good governance practice in the public sector.

The Impact of Maternal Age and Parity on the Necessity of Episiotomy during Vaginal Delivery in Childbirth.

Childbirth is a complex process, and the decision to perform an episiotomy, a surgical incision made in the perineum during childbirth, has been a subject of discussion in obstetrics. This research aims to understand the relationship between the age of mothers and the number of parity concerning the necessity of episiotomy during childbirth. The data was collected from the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, Hospital Sultan Ismail. The respondents were in the age range of 16 to 40 with first child to fifth child. The Independent variable is the mother and the number of parity—dependent variable necessity of episiotomy during childbirth. To analyze the collected data, two statistical methods were employed Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to determine if there is a significant difference in the mean of age groups concerning the necessity of episiotomy. Pearson Correlation is utilized to explore the correlation between the number of parity and the need for episiotomy. There is a significant difference in the mean age group and need for episiotomy indicating the age group of mothers relates to the need for episiotomy. The findings of this study contribute valuable insights into the factors influencing the necessity of episiotomy during childbirth.

A Process for Validating a Web-Based Academic Application's Quality Model in Public Universities: Delphi Study

Overview of the Study (Research Problem, Aim and Objectives): In this study, the method of selecting an expert panel judgement for confirming a suggested high-quality model of academic application in higher education institutions is explored. In order to minimize bias when validating the Web-Based Integrated Student Assessment (WBISA) quality model, experts are selected based on criteria designed to verify the correctness of the panel's chosen experts.

Design/Methodology/Approach: The Delphi method is a widely used and respected way to collect information from respondents who are experts in the subject matter. By using a series of questionnaires disseminated across several iterations to gather data from a panel of chosen individuals, the Delphi methodology is a good choice as a way of reaching consensus.

Results/Findings: The evaluations made by six expert panels for the WBISA application quality model made up the study's findings. Here, the expert panel acted as a final decision-maker in approving the suggested quality model.

Conclusion and Implications: The findings suggest that the WBISA quality model, which is based on expert judgement consensus through the use of the Delphi technique, could offer valuable insights that IT development teams can utilise when developing academic applications for higher education institutions.

Quality Teaching Constructs in Digital Media Art Education : Student Perspective

The study aims to analyze the current understanding of Digital Media Art among Chinese university students, as well as the current status of professional courses and teaching, from the perspective of student satisfaction. A total of 1,200 students majoring in digital media art Visual communication animation from 5 colleges of art and design in 3 Chinese provinces (Guangdong, Shanxi and Hubei) were surveyed, to investigate and study the cognition degree of digital media art, the learning situation of professional courses and the satisfaction degree of professional courses, some 300 questionnaires were collected from the Visual Communication Department of the Zhongshan College of Electronic Technology. This study aims to conduct research from the perspectives of quality theory, teaching theory, digital art theory, multiple intelligence theory, ecological theory, etc., to demonstrate the theoretical basis for constructing a quality education system for Digital Media Art majors.Based on these theories, a undergraduate teaching and training plan for Digital Media Art majors in universities will be designed, laying a theoretical and practical foundation for the development and teaching practice of school-based Digital Media Art courses in universities.

Examining the Impressionist-Style Chinese Oil Paintings' Aesthetic and Philosophical Elements through an Interpretive Approach in Implementing Curriculum Model

In addressing the notable scholarly gap concerning the aesthetic and philosophical dimensions of Chinese oil paintings in the Impressionist style, this study embarks on an insightful journey to explore and articulate the unique visual and artistic attributes that characterize these works. The primary aim is to thoroughly analyze the aesthetic foundations and philosophical underpinnings of these paintings, thereby shedding light on their cultural and artistic significance. In pursuit of this aim, the study sets forth specific objectives: to dissect the philosophical narratives interwoven in these artworks, to scrutinize their visual and artistic features with a keen eye, and to develop an innovative framework for integrating these artworks into educational settings through an interpretive curriculum model.

Employing a qualitative, interpretive methodology, this research delves deep into the artistic essence of selected Impressionist-style Chinese oil paintings. The approach is meticulously chosen to honor the subjective nature and complex layers of art interpretation, prioritizing a rich epistemological exploration over quantitative analysis. This methodological choice allows for a nuanced understanding of the artworks within their historical and cultural milieus, unraveling their aesthetic intricacies and philosophical depth.

Building Bridges: Assessment Skills as a Mediator in the Relationship between Professional Learning and Attitude Toward Assessment among Malaysian University Lecturers.

This study addresses the crucial relationship between professional learning (PL), assessment skills (AS), and the attitudes of Malaysian lecturers towards assessment practices (ATAP) grounded in Guskey's Model of Teacher Change (2002). By exploring the intermediary role of AS, the research aims to enhance our understanding of the intricate dynamics that influence lecturers' perspectives on assessment. The predominant goal is to provide valuable insights for optimizing professional learning initiatives to positively shape AS and improve the attitude toward assessment among Malaysian lecturers. Employing a quantitative methodology, the study utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and SPSS version 26.0 for data analysis. The study encompasses 400 lecturers from various Malaysian universities, selected through a multistage sampling technique. These participants completed a comprehensive questionnaire gauging their perspectives on professional learning, assessment skills, and the attitudes toward assessment. SEM AMOS version 24.0 analysis was employed to examine both the direct and indirect relationships between the variables. The outcomes reveal that AS serves as a partial mediator in the association between PL and ATAP. The ATAP construct accounts for 45% of the total explained variance by PL and AS. These findings carry substantial implications for educational institutions and policymakers.

Abstrak

Konsep dan idea pendidikan al-Hikmah telah diangkat sebagai tema penting dalam wacana pendidikan yang dibawa oleh Dato’ Dr Siddiq Fadzil kemana-mana forum dan perbincangan ilmiah dalam dan luar negara. Perjuangan mengangkat elemen pendidikan Islam berpaksikan kepada akhlaq al-karim dengan mengangkat prinsip tazkiyyah dan tarbiyyah adalah asas bagi menjana kekuatan pendidikan al-hikmah yang sebenar. Artikel ini bertujuan membahaskan beberapa tulisan Dato’ Dr Siddiq Fadzil tentang pendidikan al-Hikmah secara menyeluruh yang telah disusun dalam bukunya Himpunan Pidato Kependidikan yang diterbitkan sejak tahun 2009. Artikel ini juga menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengenengahkan tema-tema penting pemikiran pendidikan Islam berdasarkan sumber utama al-Quran dan Sunnah. Artikel ini mendapati bahawa buku Pendidikan al-Hikmah dan Misi Pencerahan terbitan Kolej Dar al-Hikmah dan Akademi Kajian Ketamadunan (AKK) ini sangat sarat dengan elemen pengukuhan dan keprihatinan Dato’ Dr Siddiq Fadzil atas cabaran dan masa depan pendidikan negara dan bagaimana pendidikan masa kini mampu mengangkat nilai kemanusiaan sejagat. Penulisan yang amat bermakna ini amat penting dihadam dan diangkat sebagai teras kekuatan para ilmuwan.
