Recent study by Gao et al. (2020) reported that the overall depression prevalence among Chinese university students was still relatively high. The objective of the study is to determine the relationship between level of anxiety disorder (the symptoms) as an independent variable on students’ internal motivation, self-depletion, and procrastination as the dependent variable. This study was conducted at Beijing Union University (BUU), China. The study involves a total of 200 students from 15 colleges. It was found that the level of students’ awareness about anxiety disorder is at a low level which can be interpreted as students are not aware about their mental health condition. The level of internal motivation and academic procrastination among the students is considered as moderate, and at moderate low for self-control. An increase in the hardness of anxiety disorder will slightly increase self-depletion among the students; and will influence academic procrastination at a very low level. The current findings highlight the crucial roles of the lecturers knowledge, skills, and attitudes as a counter measure when dealing with anxiety disorder among the students.
2024-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Third International Multidiscipline Post-Graduate Conference 2023 https://ojs.journals.unisel.edu.my/index.php/impc23/article/view/387 Higher Education Reform from the Perspective of Educational Leadership in the Post Covid-19 Era: A Comparative Study between China and Malaysia 2023-12-09T02:00:01+08:00 Su Xianrong s1437808727@163.com Noor Fadhzana Mohd Noor fadhzana@unisel.edu.my
As a worldwide emergency, COVID-19 had a significant impact on education in China and Malaysia, prompting reforms in higher education institutions (HEI) in those countries. These are reflected through online education management and resources. Educational Leadership refers to things and activities related to leadership and change, as manifested by the Deans, and the administrative members of HEI and the HEI’s culture. As a result of the reforms pursuant to COVID-19, reforms in the educational leadership were also observed. China and Malaysia are both Asian countries that play vital roles in the region and demonstrated significant responses in the Covid-19 era. Higher education reforms are, thus, evident within the two countries. Employing interviews as a data collection method and thematic analysis to analyze the data, this study found several similarities and differences between these countries in terms of their higher education reforms, particularly in terms of educational leadership.
2024-01-08T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Third International Multidiscipline Post-Graduate Conference 2023 https://ojs.journals.unisel.edu.my/index.php/impc23/article/view/361 Impact of ISO 21001 Educational Organization Management System on Business Performance of Private Higher Education Providers in Malaysia. 2023-12-08T23:30:10+08:00 Tuck Kian Looi kenny.looi@sgs.com Salina Muhamad msalina@unisel.edu.my Nur Fatin Nabilah Shahrom nurfatin@unisel.edu.my
This qualitative research investigates the impact of ISO 21001 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) implementation on the business performance of private higher education providers (PHEPs) in Malaysia. The study used semi-structured interview to examine the implications of ISO 21001 EOMS adoption by private universities and/or colleges on student enrolment, the smoothness of the MQA accreditation process, and staff satisfaction level. Seventeen informants were purposively sampled from four PHEPs in Malaysia that are already certified to the ISO 21001 standard to provide insights into these impacts. The findings of this study reveal a substantial positive impact of ISO 21001 EOMS on key business performance indicators. Firstly, ISO 21001 EOMS had positive influence on student enrolment. Secondly, the alignment between ISO 21001 and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) accreditation criteria streamlines the accreditation process, easing the certified institutions to comply with the accreditation requirements. Lastly, the study uncovers a positive correlation between ISO 21001 EOMS implementation and the principles of the Job Characteristics Model (JCM) contributing to the staff satisfaction level indirectly improve the institution’s operational efficiency and quality of services to related stakeholders. Recommendation for further research and potential areas for improvement are also discussed.
2024-01-05T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Third International Multidiscipline Post-Graduate Conference 2023 https://ojs.journals.unisel.edu.my/index.php/impc23/article/view/374 Kertas Konsep Aplikasi Kaedah Fuzzy Delphi untuk Pembangunan Modul Peningkatan Imaginasi – Kreatif (PIK) Prasekolah Berasaskan Lagu Kanak-Kanak Melayu Tradisional. 2023-12-12T20:38:28+08:00 Nurul Jannah Binti Kamaruddin jannahdin@unisel.edu.my Abdul Halim Masnan abdul.halim@fpm.upsi.edu.my
Kajian ini menggunakan aplikasi kaedah Fuzzy Delphi untuk membentuk modul peningkatan imaginasi-kreatif (PIK) prasekolah berdasarkan lagu kanak-kanak Melayu tradisional. (2011) and Asbjørnsen et al. (2021). The study involves a total of 750 students from 15 school at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China. The average score is at medium low level (4.94). This indicated that the overall student’s readiness to perform for university related writing assessment of their study is at medium low level. This includes their courage for reading, self-belief on their reading and writing skills, the amount, wide and depth of reading, and their satisfaction about their grade. The average mean score for students’ problem for writing is 3.66 (moderate) and the awareness for reading is 5.55 (high). Correlation analysis suggests that an increase in student self-belief about their capability for writing will slightly decrease their ability to identify their problem for writing; and their awareness about the benefits of reading for writing.
2024-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Third International Multidiscipline Post-Graduate Conference 2023 https://ojs.journals.unisel.edu.my/index.php/impc23/article/view/354 The Characteristic of Manual Testing for Software Project. 2023-11-28T17:00:38+08:00 Md Taherul Islam Tuhin tuhin.islam770@gmail.com Nur Razia Mohd Suradi razia@unisel.edu.my Marina Hassan marina@unisel.edu.my
Overview of the Study (Research Problem, Aim and Objectives):
Regardless of the size of the software project, manual testing is frequently utilised. Before the testing can begin, a number of steps related to manual testing must be completed. While there is a debate about the necessity of optimising manual testing procedures, the majority of research focuses on automation test optimisation strategies. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine how manual testing differs from automated testing.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In this study, a search strategy is employed in recognised databases including Google Scholar, Research Gate, and other qualifying journals. After downloading a potential research paper, the collection of research papers is filtered.
Results/Findings: Ultimately, a list of traits associated with manual testing is acquired, which may help software developers understand the significance of manual testing.
Conclusion and Implications: This research contributes to the understanding and guideline of the characteristic of manual testing on software projects which bring the successful of testing activities.
2024-01-08T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Third International Multidiscipline Post-Graduate Conference 2023 https://ojs.journals.unisel.edu.my/index.php/impc23/article/view/352 Resident Smart Access using Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) 2023-12-07T18:34:21+08:00 Rasidah Sardi rasidah@unisel.edu.my Faudzi Ahmad faudzi@unisel.edu.my Nur Aina Shazwani Zakaria wanieskms@gmail.com
Resident Smart Access using Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) is acomprehensive access control system that includes visitor management, developed for Seri Intan Residence.
