Abstract

Overview of the Study (Research Problem, Aim and Objectives):
Regardless of the size of the software project, manual testing is frequently utilised. Before the testing can begin, a number of steps related to manual testing must be completed. While there is a debate about the necessity of optimising manual testing procedures, the majority of research focuses on automation test optimisation strategies. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine how manual testing differs from automated testing.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In this study, a search strategy is employed in recognised databases including Google Scholar, Research Gate, and other qualifying journals. After downloading a potential research paper, the collection of research papers is filtered.
Results/Findings: Ultimately, a list of traits associated with manual testing is acquired, which may help software developers understand the significance of manual testing.
Conclusion and Implications: This research contributes to the understanding and guideline of the characteristic of manual testing on software projects which bring the successful of testing activities.
